Procedure For Turning On And Off The WHT Servo Power Amplifiers

Turning On

  1. Identify the station/s in use.
  2. Ensure that engineering mode is selected.
  3. Using the table, switch on the relative circuit breakers.
Breakers
Station ALT AZ CTT PFTT CW FD CH
CASS on on on off on on off
GHRIL on on on off on on off
UES on on on off on on off
PRIME on on on on on on off

Note:  Don't forget to turn on the GHRIL or UES rotators if using these.  They are located in the cabinets to the left of this one.

Turning Off

  1. Park the telescope
  2. Ensure that the telescope is in engineering mode
  3. Turn off the breakers
Note

The main isolators should be left in the 'on' position
