'Given that only one TEK head is now offered, the spare TEK controller has been withdrawn and converted for use with the AG/TVs. If the TEK controller fails it can be replaced temporarily with an EEV/MIT/Marconi controller. This gives no obvious change in camera performance.'

TEK1024 SDSU Wiring

The TEK chips have four outputs, but they are not all guaranteed to work. We only ever use one amplifier.

The internal cabling and board configuration of the SDSU controller is the same for all the TEKs:

What differs is the external cable connecting the camera cryostat to the controller. There are two types of external cables ; one for cameras using chip output amplifiers A and B, and another for cameras using C and D. Accidental interchange of these two cable types will do no damage but will mean that the controller is receiving video waveforms from inactive outputs.

The following links give information on the External cabling as well as the cabling inside the cryostat.
