1. Summary

This document summarises the changes made to the latest version in the W32 release tree of the WHT Telescope Control System, W32-0-0, to produce the release tree W33.

3. Hardware and Firmware Modifications

4. Deliverables and Installation

The CMS classes necessary to build TCS versions in the W33 release tree are defined in Section 8, they are also defined in the version files in [WHT_LOGIN.VERSION].
CMS libraries containing the source code for the TCS, the PLOT and CAMTEST utilities, and the build procedures are held on LPAS3; the root directory for the CMS libraries is defined by the logical name SOURCE_DIR.

5. Reasons for release

W36-0-0

New features

New command to set GLAS specific altitude limit: LASER_LIMIT ON sets altitude lower (or negative) limit to 20 deg, LASER_LIMIT OFF sets limit back to standard value of 10 degrees.When TCS starts it has the limit set to 10 deg. As required by RFC-TCS-006.
Leap second is set for 31-Dec-2008 24:00
AUTOGUIDE SKIP n command. This tells TCS not to apply autoguiding corrections for next n packets (centroids) received from autoguider. This is incuded for compatibility with INT.

Defects fixed

None.

6. Known problems and restrictions

FR 18269 : Incorrect AIRMASS headers when two runs performed simultaneously (e.g. ISIS red & blue arms).

Enhancements are noted in the TCS Work List which can be found in BSCW under ING Engineering Projects - Telescope Control Systems - 0004 Project Plans.

Needs CAMAC driver v2-3.
Compatible with TPOINT v4.4-4.
