telescope computer

Operations manual for UltraDAS.
The telescope computer runs the telescope control system (TCS). It
controls the telescope through a CAMAC interface. The TCS includes a D-task
(a soft real-time server-programme) that provides an interface to the system
computer. UltraDAS talks to the TCS via the D-task.
At the INT
The telescope computer is the Alpha workstation lpas2. It is in
the CLIP centre.
At the WHT
The telescope computer is the Alpha workstation lpas4. It is in
the machine room, on the far side of the terminal room from the control
room.
