STOREMODE:
set FITS file store mode
This page is part of the ING document
INS-DAS-24:
client-server interface for control of cameras
Purpose: to select a mode of FITS file storage for subsequent
observations.
Actors: udas_storemode client; udas_run client;
udas_camera server.
Outline: udas_storemode invokes the STOREMODE action;
the server stores the mode choices such that the udas_run can retreive
them later.
Normal course of events:
-
Server is between observations.
-
udas_storemode invokes the STOREMODE action on server with these
arguments:
-
Argument1 is the name of the mode, set to "diff_pre".
-
Server stores this data.
-
Server returns good status to udas_storemode.
-
udas_run starts a run sequence.
-
udas_run retrieves the store mode name.
-
udas_run implements the store mode as and sets the argument for
the process action to provide the image FITS file as an image with the
diff in the first extension, and the pre-integration read in the second
extension (diff_pre).
Variations:
-
The mode name is "normal" or "pre_post". Udas_run informs the camera
server to store the resultant image in the normal format (pre+post for
ndr cameras, and single image for CCD cameras).
-
The mode name is "diff" Udas_run
informs the camera server to store
the resultant image with only the diff stored in the FITS file (only applies
to NDR cameras).
-
The mode name is "slope" Udas_run
informs the camera server to store
the resultant image with only the slope stored in the FITS file (only applies
to NDR cameras).
-
The mode name is "slope_reads" Udas_run
informs the camera server
to store the resultant image with the slope stored in the 1st extension,
and the reads in the subsequent extensions (only applies to NDR cameras).
-
The store mode name is invalid. Server sends and error message to udas_storemode
and returns status UDAS__BADFITSMODE.
-
Udas_storemode has not been invoked before udas_run is invoked.
Udas_run
finds the parameter defaulted like this:
-
STOREMODE_NAME = "normal".
