ABORT:
end all actions
This page is part of the ING document
INS-DAS-24:
client-server interface for control of cameras.
Purpose: either abandon an observation and throw away
the data or abandon other operations on the camera server.
Actors: udas_intervene client and udas_camera server.
Outline: the client invokes the ABORT action on the server and
all other server-actions are terminated.
Normal course of events:
-
Client invokes the ABORT action on the server, with no argument.
-
Server terminates all its current actions as soon as it can (overall delays
up to 10 seconds are possible).
-
Server restores itself, and the camera, to a working state.
-
Server puts the camera into "idle mode" (i.e. clearing the detectors continuously).
-
Server returns good status for the action to the client.
