WHT commissioning-time summary

WHT commissioning 1989-2000 and observing 1997-1999 % by instrument

The table below summarises nights used for WHT commissioning
1/2/1989 - 31/1/2000, broken down by instrument.
At 1/2/89 ISIS, FOS-2 and TAURUS were all in use, although some of their
commissioning remained to be done.  I have no schedules from before
1/2/89 (and the observing logs 1987-9 don't clearly identify work 
done on commissioning nights).  
The numbers below are approximate e.g. occasional D nights used for 
minor and CCD commissioning work won't be included.  
Some of the commissioning is ongoing.

During 1/1/97 - 31/12/99 (1095 nights), 856 nights were scheduled for 
observing
(the remaining 239 nights were commissioning or S/D).  
The last column gives % of these 856 nights scheduled with each 
instrument.

* Often no clear distinction was made in the schedules between nights
for AF2 and WYFFOS commissioning.  4 nights were also used in 4/90 for
AUTOFIB, but this might have been AUTOFIB-1.

The % use entry for ISIS includes ISIS polarisation.
