RESILENT LINKS: SW12WHT failure recovery

This is the system where almost all the DAS machines are connected. Is located by the blue cabinets where the DAS computers are.

If this device fails, major problems will occur in the WHT observing system. The connectivity will be lost with the DAS computers and with the WHT images storage area.

Before following the next steps is a good idea to power cycle sw12wht to see if that fixes the problem.

The spare for this device is sw14wht and the procedure to use it instead of sw12wht is as follows:

  1. Switch off sw12wht.

  2. Move front UTP cables from sw12wht to sw14wht as described in this table:
