Disk Space Usage at the ING
 

In a routine review of disk space usage we noticed that the amount of space used by your account is greater than that used by other ING users. With this in mind, could I ask you to assess and justify the amount of disk space that you're using in your home directory. You need to be aware that although disk space is very affordable, the overheads of our disaster recovery programme is expensive in terms of cost and time and therefore we need to control how disk space is used.

A few pointers to help you are listed below:

• Please don't backup other systems in your home directory
• If data can be archived offline please do so
• Don't store music in your home directory
• Don't store digital photos, that are not required for work, in your home directory
