PC LOAD LETTER
"
There are two sizes of paper the printer can process A4 (the standard in Europe) and "letter" (actually US Letter).
If you see the message "LOAD LETTER" it is because the page format specified in the document of your word processor is not A4. Please amend the original file (and any word processing template you are using) to specify the page size as A4.
If the document originated from a Netscape print instruction please correct to A4 the menu which pops up when you do the print request. Netscape remembers the page format you last selected so you need only do this once.
The laser printer can process both but we only have A4 paper. The result is the printer pauses and displays a message "LOAD LETTER" (.. sized paper) and, as it says on the printer, you have to press SHIFT+CONTINUE to get it to bung it out on A4 (but with truncation of margins).
This is an inconvenience to you and other users - because the printing all stops waiting for someone to press a button and even when they do there is sometimes a terrible backlog.
Of course you may not have understood what was happening - which is why I have composed this text. I hope this helps you.
Cheers,
Gary
