The ING Computing Group exists to provide an effective computing infrastructure for use by the staff and visitors of the Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes. This infrastructure is provided in support of the defined business objectives of the Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes and is applicable to all aspects of the ING operations.The provision of this infrastructure is achieved by maintaining a modern core computing service with high availability, reliability and security at optimum cost. The continuous improvement of this core service is accomplished by the timely deployment of appropriate emerging information and computing technologies.
