Contacting the Computing Group

Daytime Support

For assistance with computing problems that may have some impact on observing, please contact any member of the Computing Group.  The Computing Group has two sections; general computing facilities and control software.  Each section operates a duty roster and in the first instance the duty person, from the relevant section, should be contacted.

Night time Support

The Computing Group do not operate an on-call procedure for night time support and thus we cannot guarantee to overcome problems that occur out of working hours.  However, we will do our best to assistance depending on our availability.  For assistance with urgent computer problems during the night or during the weekend which could impact on observing please call a member of the night time staff who will assist in first instance.
