Description: The Liverpool telescope is a 2 metre robotic telescope, entirely queue scheduled, and optimized for observations of time variable, moving and transient astronomical sources. The instrumentation consists of optical and infrared (JH) imaging cameras, a dual beam fibre-fed optical spectrograph, a broad band polarimeter, and a fast readout CCD camera for high time resolution studies.

Time on the LT is allocated 40% by the UK Panel for the Allocation of Telescope Time (PATT), 20% by the Spanish CAT, and 30% by a time assignment committee internal to JMU.
