Description: The Telescopio Nazionale Galileo (TNG) is a 3.58m altazimuth telescope with active optics control of the primary and secondary mirrors. A flat, rotating tertiary mirror feeds two opposite Nasmyth foci where the following instruments are permanently mounted and available to the users.
-. DOLORES: a multimode optical instrument with 10'x 10' fov allowing long slit and multi-object spectroscopy with resolving power from 300 to 7000.
-. SARG: a high resolution optical spectrometer with resolving power up to 160,000.
-. NICS: a multimode infrared instrument with 4'x 4' fov allowing long slit spectroscopy with resolving power from 50 to 2000 and polarimetric capabilities.
