Accommodation for CentralKPC conference
The conference will be held in the Hotel Hacienda San Jorge, Los Cancajos, La
Palma. Los Cancajos is a quiet beach resort located between La Palma
airport and the capital Santa Cruz de La Palma. The distance from Los
Cancajos to either of these two is about 4km. There is a half-hourly
bus service all day Santa Cruz-Los Cancajos-Airport and back, and taxi
fares are around 1000 pesetas (6 Euros) from/to Santa Cruz or the
aiport. Bus and taxi to/from the airport take 5-10 minutes.
We expect all delegates to be based in the hotel, which we will have
mostly to ourselves. As you can see on the hotel webpages, the hotel
offers several bars, and a restaurant where breakfast and dinner are
served. For lunch, there are several restaurants as well as
supermarkets in Los Cancajos, and there may be a possibility to eat a
buffet lunch in the hotel - we will confirm this later. There is a
conference room, a large pool, the beach is literally across the road,
and there is a well-equipped exercise room where guests can do their
fitness training (free of charge). There is also a large sauna, a
steambath, and a massage service, but all of these will have to paid

All rooms of the hotel are exactly the same, and all are appartments
with a bedroom (sleeping two on separate beds if you share
accomodation), kitchen with microwave etc, bathroom and living room
(with sofabed for the third person if sharing with three). All rooms
also have a balcony or terrace and most have sea- or poolview.
Accomodation prices have not been fully confirmed with the hotel yet,
but will be around

These prices are per apartment, per night, and include buffet breakfast
and all taxes.
You are expected to make your own reservation with the hotel, and only
on our special conference form that will be supplied to you when you are
finalising your registration. Please give all data the form asks for,
we already took out the irrelevant questions for you. Do not use the
form on the hotel website.
To make things easier for you, there will be no need to make a deposit
with the hotel (nor give a credit card number), but in return the
organisers reserve the right to use part of your registration fee to pay
any costs the hotel may incur in case you deviate from what you state in
the accomodation form, and give insufficient notice of this.
