Abstract:
The main achievements of IFS observations of
pre-main-sequence stars are reviewed. Several IFS systems are discussed,
the emphasis being on the OASIS IFS.
The future of these systems as surveying machines coupled to laser guide
star fed AO is explored in the context of both current/future
instruments/surveys as well as the main open issues in this field of
astrophysics.
