Abstract:

I will discuss the scientific interest and applicability of integral-field, AO assisted spectroscopy to the study of the outflows from different kind of evolved stars, like planetary nebulae, classical and symbiotic novae. As an illustrative example, preliminary results about the dynamical evolution of the ejecta from a slow nova, obtained from HST imaging and ground-based (no AO) integral-field spectroscopy, will be presented.
