Target acquisition with a multiaperture mask

Acquisition of the target fields, although harder than for longslit spectrographs with slit-viewing optics, is quite straightforward and usually reliable. The LEXT procedure FIND_TWEAK is essential for the acquisition, and requires copies of the catalogue files used to produce the masks. The special case of acquisition with a longslit (without fiducial holes) is dealt with in Section 5.4.
