RAT_TALK

Sets the verbosity of a channel.

Format: RAT_TALK <channel> <level>

Channel: The name of the data-acquisition channel.

Level: QUIET, HELP or DEBUG.

Examples: rat_talk aux help

Queuable: No.

Comments: Most messages from the DAS have an associated `level of urgency' and can be screened out by a three-level filter. Critical messages, such as those that report the end of a command, are always delivered. Some messages, such as those produced during validation of an image format, can be rejected by setting the filter to QUIET, or accepted by setting the filter to HELP. Setting the filter to DEBUG turns on diagnostics, typically a few dozen messages per exposure. A different filter-level can be set for each channel. All filters are set to HELP after initialization.
