Automatic CCD Quality Control At The ING

We provide real-time CCD quality control information for all the available detectors at the ING. We measure quantities such as bias level, readout noise, gain, linearity, sky level and FWHM among others, and store these data in a FITS database. The visual representation of this database is available on these webpages where we present a subset of these data, organised by instrument, configuration and date of observation, along with some trend graphs showing how certain quantities have varied over different timescales. Although most detectors have many different possible combinations of readout speed and binning, we attempt to monitor the most frequently used CCD configurations.

The CCD quality control documentation is available here as a PDF file.
