NIGHTLOGS
revised 04/01/00
The webserver handling the processing of the nightlogs is
running from the lplogs account. If you recieve a message like
'server not responding', the webserver daemon has died and needs to be
restarted. To do this, logon to Scorpio as lplogs and type:
/home/lplogs/apache/bin/apachectl start
You should recieve the message 'apachectl start: httpd started'.
The WHT observations log is generated automatically. The new observing log
script needs an observations log file of the date specified.
Here how to work around if ICL wasn't brought down meaning no log file with
current date is available:
- login on LPVF as observer
- change directory to the current month (3 character month names)
SET DEF [.LOGROOT.DEC]
- after end of night copy the file of 'current date - 1' to current date
COPY 19991214.WHT 19991215.WHT
- now edit the current date file deleting all runs of the previous night
