WHT exposure no. 1000000
The William Herschel Telescope's millionth exposure was recorded
on the night 2007 Aug 8, by Ian Skillen.
It's a 1-sec exposure, one of a time-series observation of a transiting
exoplanet, taken with a frame-transfer camera mounted at one of the
Cassegrain auxiliary ports.
The planet's host star is the bright star at top left.
During transit by the orbiting planet, the star's brightness dims ~ 3%.
