As indicated in the last PATT newsletter, the possibility of extending the lower frequency of the lower band to 1330 MHz to enable the observation of red-shifted hydrogen from more extra-galactic objects was being investigated. This has been found to be possible and, dependent upon the delivery time of particular electronic components, will be implemented as soon as possible during the Semester 97A observing period. Observations requiring the extended frequency range and given time by PATT will thus be possible towards the end of the Semester.
