The manuals and technical notes are available in one (or more) of the
following formats: gzipped PostScript, PDF, Latex, HTML. To view the
PDF manuals you need acroread. To view the PostScript manuals
directly, you need gunzip and ghostview. If your browser does not
support direct viewing of gzipped PostScript, you can save the file(s) to
your local disk, and use gunzip to create a PostScript file. If the
figures have not been included in the PostScript documents themselves,
there usually is a gzipped tar file of figures available. Please
note, that many of the figures have been scanned, and that in order to
restrict file sizes (and transfer times!) the quality is not always
optimal.
