Configure is an off-line program that is used to allocate AUTOFIB fibres to program objects. The user supplies a file with RA, Dec, and Configure will then assign fibres to objects in an optimum way. The user may then edit the fibre allocation graphically. Configure is now available for use by observers and other interested parties. The tar file containing the source code (1.45Mb), the user manual and installation guide are all available via anonymous ftp. The README file contains full instructions for unpacking and installing the distribution (ie. creating executable files). User.tex is a latex file which fully documents how to use Configure. If you have any problems installing or using Configure, please contact Jim Lewis at RGO (jrl@ast.cam.ac.uk). Jim would also appreciate any and all comments (especially bug reports!) on Configure.
