WYFFOS/AUTOFIB2 was successfully used over 4 nights to observe low redshift galaxies in the fields of QSOs studied with the HST (PI: Bowen). The aim was to establish any correlation between the redshifts of the galaxies identified by WYFFOS/AF2 and the redshifts of the QSO absorption lines seen in the HST spectra, thus establishing the size and nature of galaxy haloes and QSO absorption systems.
In total, 16 WYFFOS fields were succesfully configured over 4 nights, and spectra for ~1000 B<19 galaxies were obtained. Spectra (3A/pix) for a representative selection of galaxies can be obtained below (integration times 2400 secs);
