Flux calibration

Observations of spectrophotometric flux standards may be conveniently reduced using various functions in Figaro (try the VMS HELP facility command HELP FIGARO TECHNIQUES FLUXING after initializing Figaro). There are no special facilities in LEXT to do this since this is not a specifically multiobject technique. The resulting flux calibration as a function of wavelength can either be read into LEXT and used during extraction to flux the extracted spectra or applied to extracted spectra outside LEXT. Note that in the latter case, it will be necessary to ensure that the correct subset of the fluxing function is applied to the each of the extracted spectra.
