Interrupts

The process started by a number of ARCQUERY commands ( e.g. SELECT, CALSELECT, LIST, COUNT) may be interrupted by CTRL/E or CTRL/C.

CTRL/E merely enquires the status of the process. It produces the number of records processed or selected so far. The process continues thereafter.

CTRL/C, on the other hand is a real interrupt. The user will be asked to decide what to do next. In general, the options are:

A special interrupt CTRL/L may be used (it does not always work!) to discontinue/continue listing on the VDU (if a command would produce such a listing).
