Terminating ARCQUERY

The regular way of stopping ARCQUERY is by using the EXIT command (see section ). An alternative way is to reply to any question or prompt with CTRL/Z. This will terminate execution in a manner similar to EXIT/SAVE. If no qualifier is given with the EXIT command, ARCQUERY will prompt for one; the SAVE qualifier saves the query context of this session.

In principle, CTRL/Y should not be used to stop ARCQUERY.

After termination of the ARCQUERY programme, control is returned to the captive account menu; in order to logout, do EXIT again, or type LOGOUT.

Programme execution is also terminated when the ARCQUERY prompt runs into a time-out. The time-out period is set to 30 minutes; if a reply is not given within that period, CTRL/Z is forced, followed by exit/save.
