The purpose of this program is to move an object of interest to a specified part of the chip.
If after a RUN or GLANCE has been displayed on the Lexidata you find that the object you are interested in is off centre or badly placed on the chip then invoke the program by typing MOVESTAR. The Lexidata cursor will appear and a message saying:
Enter two points with the Lexidata cursor
The first should mark the object of interest and the second where you want it placed on the chip.
Move the cursor with the joystick to the object and depress the READ switch. Now move the cursor again and mark the position you would like that object to appear on the next RUN or GLANCE.
If you want to exit depress the EXIT switch.
If you have made a mistake or change your mind after marking the first position then press RESET.
After marking the second position, an arrow will appear on the Lexidata indicating the direction in which the image will move and the telescope will be driven to a new position.
Another RUN or GLANCE should reveal the object at the selected position.
