daschoose: select DAS channels

Purpose:

The data-acquisition sub-system (DAsS) has eight channels of which any or all can be active at once. daschoose selects the sub-set of those eight to use and restarts the DAsS in its new configuration.

Usage:

   daschoose [channels]

where channels is a space-separated list of channel numbers, each in the range 0..7 inclusive. If channels is not given, the DAsS is restarted with all channels out of use.

Example:

  daschoose 0 1 2 3
activates the four channels conventionally used for the INT WFC.

Caveats:

daschoose interrupts data acquisition for all detectors on the telescope and looses the images from any detectors currently reading out.

This command is intended for ING staff setting up the observing system after an instrument change. Observers should not need to use this command.
