KILL-TRACK ( - )

DESCRIPTION

KILL-TRACK Terminates the guide or CTA loop unconditionally. It sets the display window origin to 0,0 in the image area, clears the display and image stack, and turns off the CCD controllers continuous readout off. Guide or CTA interlock is cleared. If this does not clear a problem with the Guide loop hanging up, then the easiest solution is to reset the rack. Kill-track ignores the semaphores with the guide loop and switches it off manually without regard to what is displayed or on the image stack.

If this is needed, CAREFULLY document why the system is hanging up and complete a fault report on the database, or mail abg@mail.ast.cam.ac.uk. It is not expected that this command be used in normal use.
