dasreset restarts the software running on the data-acquisition computer. It resets image-acquisition equipment (the `FOX rack' and `Data-Cell interface').
dasreset
dasreset must be run on the data-acquisition computer; it has no useful effect if run on the system computer.
dasreset interrupts data acquisition for all detectors on the telescope and looses the images from any detectors currently reading out.
After using dasreset, you'll need to re-run startobssys on the system computer to link in the reloaded DAS servers.
