An internal vacancy has arisen for an Instruments and Telescopes Systems Control Engineer in the Engineering Group of the ING. Local Grace C.

Potential candidates for the post should note the following requirements for the job:

• It is essential to have experience and knowledge of PLCs programming and its application to instrumentation control

The principle objectives of this position are as follows:

• To contribute specialist knowledge of electronic, mechanical and control systems engineering to the development of both projects and the ING itself, as a team member of multidisciplinary projects and as an individual.

• To contribute specialist engineering knowledge to the work of the operations team when working shifts.

• To provide technical assistance when working shifts and as duty officer during night-time and weekend observations. To act as a point of contact in case of emergency or system failure.
