Anti-static protection boxes

Anti-static protection boxes have been designed to protect CCDs when cryostats are disconnected. The box is incorporated in the cable between cryostat and controller. The connector to the cryostat cannot be disconnected it is protected with a grub screw. The disconnection is made at the controller end, the box on the end of the cable is then parked on the cryostat.
