There are six Sun workstations located in the Computer Room within the Residencia. These machines are the property of and are maintained by the IAC. Of the six machines, only three are available for general use. These are the three machines on the left-hand side of the room and they are called mazo.ll.iac.es ,tihuya.ll.iac.es and aridane.ll.iac.es. Each of these machines may be accessed using the user name and password which are clearly displayed on the machines. From either one of these machine, access is permitted to the following ING machines:
With these computers you will have access to a WWW browser, FTP, telnet
and SSH. Also available are basic editing and printing facilities.
However, the ability to display X windows running remotely is prohibited.
